CZEDR (“we,” “us,” or “Czedr”) explains here how we handle information when you use our website, mobile apps, and API at api.czedr.com. This policy is provided for transparency and App Store requirements; it is not legal advice. Contact support@czedr.com with questions.

Information we collect

• Account data: email address, Czedr ID, password (stored hashed), optional referrer Czedr ID, and optional profile details you provide.
• Payment activity: transfers, invoices, balances, transaction history, referral earnings, and related memos stored on our ledger.
• Security data: optional 4-digit payment PIN (stored hashed), session tokens, and security-related audit logs (e.g. sign-in, payments).
• Bank linking (optional): if you link a bank account, we store linkage and verification data needed for micro-deposit confirmation — not your online banking password through third-party aggregators.
• Device / technical data: IP address, app version, and API request metadata used for security, rate limiting, and troubleshooting.

How we use information

• Operate your account, process payments and invoices, display balances and history.
• Authenticate you, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with applicable law.
• Send account-related email (e.g. password reset) when email is configured on our servers.
• Improve reliability and support — including responses to support@czedr.com.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not ask for your bank login through Plaid-style aggregators for standard Czedr bank linking.
• Other members do not see your email when they look up your Czedr ID (masked display names are shown instead).

Sharing

We share data only as needed to run the service (e.g. hosting providers, email delivery), when you direct a payment to another member (they see amounts and Czedr IDs involved), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. Payment QR codes encode your public Czedr payment link (https://czedr.com/pay/…) — anyone you show the QR to can see that identifier.

Retention & security

We retain account and ledger records while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and dispute purposes. We use HTTPS, access controls, hashed passwords and PINs, and industry-standard practices appropriate to a financial-style app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices

• Update profile information in the app where available.
• Contact support to request account help or deletion (subject to legal retention needs).
• Stop using the app and revoke TestFlight access on your device at any time.

Children

Czedr is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
